I thought the same, go with the 6112/5160 route if the budget allows. I did what I did because I didn't want to spend $1k just on shocks to be happy with my truck.

Unfortunately I don’t have a pic of my cv angles as I’m not at home, but they are fine trust me. They don’t look crazy like some setups I’ve seen. I don’t have a diff drop either just the ECGS upgrade.

As far as measurement I have them from ground to fender. Front is 38 1/4” in both sides and the rear passenger 39.75” and 39.5” rear driver; with a full tank and about 100ish lbs of gear.

    And thanks for the compliment.

Best move I did was 4th setting on the front and a one inch block in the back. It fits my needs. New tires and wheels, I'm satisfied with it.

Thanks all. Appreciate all the help. So I was thinking this setup:

    https://www.rogue-offroad.com/product-p/tacostage4-.htm

With medium dakar. It says it lifts it 2.5" upfront but you guys are saying 2". What would my total lift be with this setup (front and back)?

Will this be exactly what I need to do it "right" the first time? Or should I also get UCAs?

    Nice looking truck..

I get it, but if you're getting ready to plop down 1500.00 plus, you should be able to talk to a live person.

Shit, I could have skipped 15 emails over 8 days if I could've just spoken to someone. It's not like your buying hanes underoos.

This is the lift chart for 6112, it says 2 inches expected. Not sure where the other site is getting 2.5 inches
    6112 lift chart.jpg

The different driver / passenger side clip settings are to compensate for Taco Lean.

Good point. The above poster said he was a little over 2". With the medium dakar in the rear and the 5160s... how much lift will that get me? I don't want bro lean, I like the rake like you guys have. So I guess that means I'd also want a 2" lift in the back.

2016+ will only get 2” lift, 05-15 can get 2.5ish of lift.

If you wanna run bigger tires your gonna need UCAs to increase your caster from 2.5-3. But if your gonna stay stock tire or 265/75r16 or equivalent then you can get away with it. I always suggest to get JBA UCAs as their easy to do an alignment, most shops wont touch SPC UCAs although they are a good UCA.

Aftermarket UCAs can hold their caster for longer periods. Stock UCAs will vary, if you hit a pot hole...RIP alignment. I suggest to get a firestone unlimited alignment if you don’t want after aftermarket UCAs.

    ****buy once, cry once****
I didn’t do this advice...so I’d suggest buy it all at once and never go under again. I got an alignment 3 times in one year on my 6112s. Stock UCAs, then added some, I didn’t like the AAL so replaced with a full leaf pack.
    3 ALIGNEMENTS!!! Smh

You can feel the difference in UCAs on the road!! Feel way more planted and steering experience in the cabin is better if that makes sense B0E0DEDE-BF4B-485B-9414-E8AE726A63AB.jpg 2F40C491-BDC1-430E-AB6A-889DFF2C29CD.jpg

awesome! So after settling, you got 2" all around of lift? I'm assuming you are using the 5th/6th slot as well? I probably will get the driver side lean 1/4" spacer too unless I don't need it. And yeah, I'll buy the UCAs. Did you also do the needle bushing thing? sorry for the 20 questions, just getting close to pulling the trigger!

I have 650lb eibach coils that’s probably the reason why I don’t have a lean and might be why I have a little more than 2” of lift as it’s able to hold the weight of my truck better. I know some people needed the spacers if they kept the 600lb coils that come with 6112s to offset the lean.

And yes I’m at 6/5 for a 2” lift and ECGS bushing as stated in my original post.

OK thanks. Guess I'll get the bushing and these:
    https://jbaoffroad.com/toyota/jba-std-high-caster-upper-a-arms-for-2005-toyota-tacoma.html

I'm a bit scared with install stories of the bushing. Sounds like someone can easily F it up.

Wouldn't your cv angles with the 888 be worse than with the 6112s? I thought the 888 spring lifted things higher.

my 888 didn't lift my truck for shit, I got maybe 1.75 and that's with driver 1/4 spacer install too, my stock tires rubbed when I put aftermarket rims on and the lift lol, need to bump my caster up, throw a bigger spacer in and see if 33s will fit

See this is what scares me. It should have lifted it, but didn't. Any reasons why?

I was expecting 2.5 at least and yeah didn't, only thing I could say is cause its DCLB 4x4 its a tad heavier?! Otherwise idk, ive just read and been told the OME coil spring rate isn't strong enough for the 3rd gens, idk what it is 590 lb? I think 650 works better and lots do 700 lb springs

Maybe this is more incentive to go 6112. I want at least 2". I figure why spend the money for hardly any lift right? Yeah, yeah... its a suspension upgrade... I get it. But we all do this for looks as well.

    Work in progress...
They are getting 2 1/2" lift by pre loading the springs. Read under description the last part of the first sentence. I am not saying that it is all bad, just letting you know where the extra lift is coming from.
