Buy some quality shocks and replace both of them, its easy.

Is your truck still under warranty? I would think they would replace it under warranty.
Or you can always use this as an excuse to get a lift!

If you buy them I'm sure they'll install for you but honestly in the time it takes to drive to the stealership and have it done there you can change a rear shock 3x over.... unless you live next to Toyota.

Edit: even then it's quicker to DIY :D

Gl on that I couldn't even get a black headliner to replace the grey one. It's a warranty and the same size. Wtf does color matter to them.... but nope.

Find a dealer with less security. Go in the night time, crawl under a PRO and remove the rear shocks. Problem solved. Free.
Second benefit, when you come back in 2 years you will have low mileage on the truck when traded.

Struts are a coil and shock combo that is an integral part of the front or rear suspension typically on cars. A strut is a component of importance such that it actually locates and stabilizes parts of the suspension.

Trucks and other vehicles may have Coilovers consiting of shocks and coilsprings in an assy. This is affixed within the front suspension and is integral but does not play the same role in the front suspension that a strut does.

Another option: get yourself a set of lightly used OR suspension from the for sale section. Those Bilsteins have a much softer ride than the Hitachis..

I have a question OP, how do you have over 2400 posts in this forum and not know that our trucks have shocks?

Because I don't post about shocks? Or suspension stuff in general?

Let me know how you correlate numbers of posts to knowledge of a specific area.

    UPDATE:

Just got back from the dealership and you all were spot on...it was a bad shock.

Now all I have to do is come back tomorrow because they had to order the shock. Glad I live close to the dealership and have a flexible schedule.o_O

Service rep mentioned a drive line leak that they fixed on my last visit. It was news to me. So when I got home I looked at all my documentation from my 2 service visits, and nowhere did it state a driveline leak or any repair of said leak.

So I'm waiting for a call back from the service rep. I suspect that it is in the realm of possibility that a tech took note of the problem in his tech notes but nothing has been fixed yet. If it has been fixed I want the documentation confirming it.

Anybody else have a driveline leak on their 3rd gen?
