This is not directed at anyone on Tacoma world but I wish when someone writes a review on a tire they would put what load range it is and what kind of vehicle they are driving. It makes a big difference in how the tire rides and the longevity of the tire. That's why there are so many mixed reviews on the BFG TA KO, some say they get 70 or 80,000 miles out of them and others say the only get 15 to 20,000 miles.

4 years of summer driving I'd go with something less aggressive if you're just going to be 90% roadway. Unless you just want some cool looking tires I'd stick with some road warriors! (Not actual tires )

Just to confuse you some more OP, I've run these for the past two summers - Yokohama Geolandar P265/70R16 111S GL AT-S OWL. I drive about the same conditions as you with this truck, 90% street & 10% offroad. These tires are great for those conditions as the street manners and wear are great for an AT tire and offroad is okay but not great. I've got 25000 kms on them and very little wear. They should be good for another 60000 kms.

OP I'm running the Hankook Dyna Pro ATm and love them. They look even better mounted. Quiet but aggressive when needed. I have about 10,000 miles on them and they still look new.

i will be honest and tell you first hand they dont balance very well..

BUT on my trucks, with my usage. I have never, on a single set of ANY tires had them stay in balance anyway so there is always some small tire vibes for me and it does not bother me.

I usually keep on the fronts having them balanced the best and only piss with the others when they really need it.

Go with Toyos...the outsides of the BFG's don't wear so well with the Toyota IFS (if you have it). Toyos have a bridge between the outside tread to keep torsion down and also run a bit cheaper too. Here's a pic if you want to see how aggressive they look...[IMG]

I'm interested in these and was thinking of going that route next due to price. Seem like a great tire.

Ok so I went with the KO's. For one they had em in stock and I did not have to wait. I like them a lot they give the truck a more aggressive look and have a very minor hum to them, I do see that getting louder later on. They ride great and do very good in the sand I already tried them out at eglin in NW FL and went through some sand in 2WD that I would normally need 4WD for. It's a little early to give you an accurate MPG loss mainly because I normally use 100% gas and this last tank I put the 10% ethanol in it and I did lose some just not sure how much was from the gas or tires. I went from a P rated 265 65 to an LT rated 265 70 17 so I'm guessing 1.5 on the MPG. All in all I am happy with my choice and I'll give a update in a few ?,000 miles
