'04 would be worth it simply due to the miles. If you're wanting more space, the '06 would serve you well. Any blemishes on the '04 that would deter you? I'm sure they both have scratches and such, but what about seat wear?

Doesn't say where you live. Big city I would go auto. Country stick.

04 is first gen, 06 2nd gen. Different HP. I believe the 1st gen has a timing belt, 2nd gen timing chain.

    I don't know

I wouldnt buy a vehicle with 150k miles for 14 grand unless I knew the owner and knew it was cared for. Even if it is a Tacoma. For a few thousand more you could find a second gen with less than 100k. My vote is for low miles.

1st gen , because I'm a 1st gen fanboy..... but like someone said, if you need the space, maybe the 2006 will fit your needs better.

I own a 2004 and wouldn't trade it for the world.....with that said I am in the process of doing a motor swap on it cause the tps sensor went out on it and it's 1500 to replace it. Its ultimately your choice just wanted to give you something to ponder.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
I had the same thing when I bought mine and I went with the 02 over the 06.

    I bought a 2nd gen 1st and a 1st gen 2nd. I like the 1st gen better.
