I am looking for a nice 3 inch lift kit but I don’t know if I should get the bilstein combo kit or the dobinsons kit which is a bit more expensive. I don’t plan on doing any crazy wheeling but maybe some light offroading but 90% pavement and I want to be able to fit 285/70/17 on the truck and I already have the rims.

I would look into keeping it around 2-2.5" on the lift. For your needs, I would look at Bilstein 5100s all around and a AAL in the back. You could spend a lot more on other lifts but I think you will be happy with this setup. Might need a little trimming but will be able to fit 33's. It really depends on the offset of your wheels.

Get the Bilstein 5100's your stock coils from the OR are already 700 lbs. AALs in the rear. it will net a 2" lift and you should be able to fit 285's with minor trimming depending on the wheels you choose? Try and get a set of wheels that have 0 offset or very little negative offset. Should only require minor trimming of plastic to get those to fit.

    Good Luck!
