Check their help page http://help.rr.com looks like they offer CA Security Suite. They have a section on how to install setup and all that stuff.

    It's been a month, I hope he's already found a solution.

    In any case...

    1. Different virus scanners will detect different virii. AVG might catch something MS Security Essentials (MSSE) won't, MSSE might detect something that AVG didn't find. However, you want the one that detects the most, while also not being a system hog (face it - if the program is bogging your system - isn't that just another virus?). In a recent study, MSSE won out as the best free antivirus program. Since it's Microsoft, expect that it will integrate well with Windows. It seems Avast might be slightly better now, but has some awful ads.
    2. I used to run AVG, now I'm on MSSE. Faster computer performance.
    3. Just because it's not free doesn't make it good. McAffee is a bloated sweat hog that can't find anything, and Norton is sometimes the same depending on the version. Free alternatives can sometimes find more than these versions. Sometimes the pay version only adds froofy features, like advanced scheduling.
    4. Spyware/Malware is probably best handled by Malwarebytes. I used to be a fan of Spybot, but our IT manager here at work proved Malwarebytes does a better job.
    5. Practice safe computing. Don't click on ads, don't go to websites that are questionable, don't open mail from the prince of Africa.

I suggest Microsoft Security Essentials / Malwarebytes Antimalware combo for protecting your computer. They've worked the best thus far for me.

Also, I'd run GlaryUtiltiies to optimize your computer.
