Just trolling the waters for input on Centric Power Slotted Rotors and Hawk Pads. I will be ordering these soon. Soon after I will be upgrading to steel braid lines.

Around $26,000 worth of unleaded in the fuel tank.
Slotted or drilled rotors are just a gimmick. They are supposed to allow gases to escape more quickly, but also reduce the surface area and mass. Plain rotors of made of good materials will work fine.

There are cheap, inferior rotors on the market that wear down as fast as the brake pads...beware.

There is nothing to convince me that slots or holes offer any improvement to braking performance. I have tried them on tacomas and small cars, and will not go out of my way to use them again. If you like the appearance of them, that's about the only reason to use them.

I guess they make a good addition to a mod list.

We hear you, your opinion has been noted. The two of us are under some impression they're better so that's what we will buy.

That's fine with me. Your brakes will work either way.

My opinion is based on some research I did when choosing rotors. I was just trying to share the wealth.

I didn't realize there were two of you.

Get yourself a 6 or 8" lift and add some 40" mud terrains. That will slow you down. If you're still feeling frisky then then you can probably get your hands on a couple of broken refrigerators for pretty cheap. Load those up in the bed standing up. Try to get top bottom style so you can take off the freezer doors and have a big open cavity that sticks up above the cab. Then fill the bottom with sand or something so you get the best of both worlds, a heavy load to slow down your acceleration and terrible aerodynamics to ruin your highway top speed. Along with the giant tires and not regearing you'll be lucky if you can still use 3rd gear. Good luck!

I have used PowerSlot rotors along with Raybestos ceramic pads. Initially they were nice, quick to bite and really felt good. As the mileage came it felt as if they were getting more and more inefficient. Finally I decided that the combo just didn't feel safe any longer.

I switched over to the Hawk HPS pads and stock Autozone rotors. World of difference. I am on my third set of pads/rotors for my car. I have put them on dang near every car the family drives as well.
