I seem to be opening cans of worms here by mistake. I'm just tegularly towing a not so heavy boat (19ft carolina skiff) mostly about 10-15 miles from home and never more than 100. I may get a small pop up in the future and that's a maybe as I prefer to tent on the ground. I don't want to haul 6 tons of gravel!

Reading ahead helps to prepare. If you mostly pull short-range (vs cross-country) and loads in the 1500 lb range, then you can still get advice about "brake controllers" and hitch accessories.

Toyota needs to rebrand their Auto-LSD cause it's misleading considering its very much an open diff.

That said, aftermarket e locker is easy to swap in for us non TRD OR/Pro folks.

OP..if you're towing, get yourself a hitch receiver, brake controller and maybe a transmission fluid cooler and hit the road.
The v6 tacos all haul the same no matter the trim.
