Oh yeah definitely. I've seen them with my own eyeballs. Plus, I mean. I'm not ashamed. I was and still am a mosh warrior. But I too am also a redneck rockstar.

I have a TRD Sport Because I could pay Cash for it (could have saved more) and I Never used the craw mode or Locker on my FJ UTTE having the Locker would be nice but I can add one later if I need it

 

He guys so my 2017 has mts not atrac please just confirm i wont have a button for atrac on dash for automatic i am to use the mts button? Not sure if i didnt get the option or looking in the wrong place thanks all! Btw good informative post op.

 

MTS replaced A-Trac. It is just like A-Trac but you can adjust the dial to what type of terrain you are driving on.

Wranglers go for just as much as this truck. Might as well off road with it, bruv.

 

It's the only one that has a v6, 4x4, 6-speed manual, and is access cab... plus I'd rather have an air locker and don't like the crawl control concept. IMO off roading is about the truck and the driver, not the truck driving the driver.

 

You don't have to use these features, but they are there should you get stuck and your buddy isn't around to pull you out. Go ahead and use low range with only one tire in front and one in back spinning... You will soon appreciate these gizmos that come on the Off Road Tacoma (at no extra cost)! ARB installed has got to be around $2,000 front and rear, maybe more?
I have owned seven four-wheel drive vehicles between 1975 and today. This 2010 Tacoma with A-TRAC is the most amazing of them all.

 

No extra cost? Hmm, last time I looked the TRD models cost more than the SRs

Oh, and fully covered by Toyota warranty.
