Haha I know I was one of those customers asking for updates! It’s nice to actually speak to you guys but it’s not necessary, especially knowing you’re a small company.

I’m not sure if there are off the shelf products that do status tracking (I’m thinking something like JIRA) and inventory at the same time (handheld scanner and bar/qr code system) but I’m sure there is something!

I was just looking into an inventory management system with barcoding that would be linked with the website because it can be quite challenging making sure all parts are at certain levels so we never run out. In the beginning it wasn't so bad because we only have a couple products and we were in a 20' square garage. Now we are in a 2500 sq ft building with shelving 16' up lining the perimeter of the shop. As you can imagine, it is really hard to make sure we never run out of stuff. It is only getting tougher to keep up, even more so with orders increasing.

Yeah I bet it can get very complicated, especially when you have a mix of stock items and basically made to order items and then add the fact that you guys are growing. Not an easy problem to fix but I’d say it’s a good sign for the company!

There’s some really long responses in this thread so I didn’t read all of them. Sorry if this has been said or if it’s already being done but....

What about stock color options for powder coating? It would be pretty cool to have stuff powder coated same as your truck, especially if your truck is white or that tan.

We’re considering it but it comes with a lot of headaches. That much more to track. That many more colors to stock. That much more time I’m the booth and oven. It’s really tough to color match paint to powder as well. We want to do it and we’ve done it a couple times but it cost quite a bit more.

Yea I’m sure it does... might be worth it for colors like white but not my blue ribbon.

I remember you mentioning that sometimes the hardware packaging counts can be an issue.

Make a "peg-board" for each hardware package type.
You know like dads do in the garage with all their tools outlined.

10 Bolts 3/8 x 3" means 10 holes marked with the bolt size (or two nails to hang the bolt).
10 3/8 nuts means 3 nails marked with the bolt size.
    etc...
obvious if there is a miscount and won't put in an excess..
Board full. shake out into bag. Drink beer.

Hello, I ordered tailgate reinforcements nearly a month ago and I am on the East Coast. I heard that you guys have quick shipping and I’m a little disappointed. I have called, messaged, and emailed you guys with no reply. I have already paid you and would simply like a little update so I can know when to expect my items. Thank you.

Also I am a Gambino and really dig the logo, so I do hope that there’s a decal included :)
