Being a teenager and having friends who are involved with this shit from time to time... I never got and will never get into smoking pot because of health issues, and the money wasted. I'm involved in many athletic sports and having my lungs filled with smoke all the time is just counter productive. Regarding money.. I am the proud owner of an 07 Tacoma because I work about 60 hours a week in the summers for a landscaping company. I'm not about to waste my hard-earned money on something like weed when instead I could put a new exhaust on my truck.
My advice- Get him interested in something that he is truly passionate about, maybe he'd spend money on snowboarding equipment, paintbrushes, or some books instead of weed if he was really into something else.
Also... if he has no money, he can't buy it. Talk to your parents about supporting such a bad habbit. I'm not sure on if he works or not etc., but if that kid is working his balls off to get his bank account bigger- maybe he wouldn't be as into blowing it all away in smoke rings.
Everyone's different but there has to be some way to kick his butt into gear and make him realize what a waste it is of his money, time, health, and clean police file.

Your parents need to kick his ass out and no one should give him any monetary support. He'll learn real quick what real life is about.

Slap him over the head and tell him to stop or you will have to report him to the police.

I've seen a guy crash into a wall at 30mph because he was too high.. so physically he could do alot of damage to himself and others god forbid...

An option would be to get him high off his ass... my younger cousins were at the age of being cool and were becoming pot heads.. so a few of their siblings sat them down and got them so high to the extent that one of the kids thought they were in a box, freaked out, and then threw up lol rest assured they never wanted to smoke again.

How old is he? Many guys in there early 20's "piss their life away" on something: video games, internet porn, weed, trucks, dirtbikes... Most people that are dedicated stoners will grow out of it eventually, or if he's a lodey he'll be moving onto coke and E and that fun stuff; since he's not a drinker too I'm guessing he's not a lodey.

Do your parents know? Tell him to tell your parents he's spending their money on weed and oreos or you'll kick his ass. If your parents don't mind buying him weed then cool. I'm guessing he'll need a job soon after that.

He's probably just a lazy wuss, he'd be a "stoner" with or without the weed as long as he has your parents supporting his wussness. Just tell him to sack up, stoned or not; if he's gonna be a stoner then fine so long as he contributes something to the human race.

I HATED these.. one of the many reasons why I quit.
Main reason was because of the girlfriend.
Get him a girl, maybe he can start having sex everytime he wants to smoke..

I feel for you(OP)as you are in a hard place. I don't think ratting him out is the best option, I would look at options such as counseling or some sort of treatment center if you can talk him into it. Do your parents know they are supporting his drug habit? If not it may be time to let them know where there money is going.

Good luck and know that sadly your situation is very common in lots of families, you're not alone.

Weed is not really the problem. I have friends who are physicians, lawyers, and other successful people who also smoke socially. Point is, if you're a piece of shit with weed, you'll be a piece of shit without weed and vice-versa.

Myth....if they're growin man boobs they would have anyway. Only emos, trannys, sword swallowers & anyone else that was born with a testosterone deficiency to begin with will be needin bras. Some of the thousand carcinogens in cigarettes much more likely to cause that than pot.
