    Which motor and trans does your truck have? Did you buy it new?

    I am unconvinced to be honest. Every 1st gen TRD truck with a v6 and elocker I've ever seen or heard about came from Toyota with 31s and 4.10 gears. Didn't matter if they were 4x4s or prerunners, as long as they were 6 lug hubs.

    Doesn't sound convincing at all for the argument.

    "The "07" code was introduced in 2000
    and it's actual ratio has not been
    confirmed, however, Toyota did
    reintroduce the 4.30 ratio to the
    Tacomas in 2000, so I assume the
    mysterious "07" code indicates 4.30,
    but this is not confirmed."

    The 4.30 ratio was a common ratio in 3rd gen 4runners, not in Tacomas.

    They might have been more common in the 4Runners than Tacomas but the e-lockers are interchangeable between the two.

    My 1999 4cyl auto prerunner came with 4.30s. BO7A axle code. Verified by spinning the wheel and counting the driveshaft rotations.

    Yes this is correct. This was the exact specs my truck came with. I fixed that though so it now has an elocker with 4.56.

    What point are you trying to make? The very first post was regarding a V6 Auto Pre-Runner not a 4 cylinder auto.

    Yeah, If he has a v6 and an elocker, then it is 4.10s not 4.30s.

    There is no way the OP has a 4.30 with an elocker unless it was added later. They just don't come that way fro the factory. Not Tacomas anyway. I seriously doubt that he actually knows what ratio is in his truck.

    That's what I understood as well..All 1st gen Taco e-lockers were 4.10 ratio.

    I believe you could have a 4cyl TRD MANUAL truck with 4.30 ratio w/diff lock. This is an option if you search on car-part.com and shows axle code BO7A. I have heard people say that this exists, but it might be more like a unicorn.
