Lol Close to 1M 3rd gen Tacomas sold. 100 voted so far in this poll. You don't need statistics for this, you need a representative sample. 100 people is a rounding error.

Yikes, top 1 should be 'Secure your voting mechanism' followed by 'Secure your data at rest'

Bought the truck brand new. Didn't do a thing to it in the first 6 months, I was still enjoying the new truck smell.

VOTED. I waited about 6-7 years before dumping $15k in accessories on the truck. Had to break it in first, you know?

    Like, so many.
Definitely spent more than $2000 overall, but not in the first 6 months.

True. Although I’m sure a couple hundred votes will suffice for the OP’s stats class.

They will likely look at the data for central tendency, dispersion, and all that fun stuff.

I broke that limit just on the shell! Toss in a few Meso upgrades that happened to come out at the time and my audio system and I'm way over the 2k mark within 6 months

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Note to all: He is doing a college course project -that's all. It is not a earth changing survey and it will be probably used only by him and his class to LEARN how to do surveys correctly.
    BTW I voted as well!
Also remember, one can (and sometimes do) make numbers and surveys to prove most any point the way they want it to come out. For this reason the general public should always question how any given survey/poll was taken. In other words don't believe everything you hear or read!

OOPS -- I forgot about my topper --I had to change my vote.

Back in 1987 in my junior year, I had a course called Engineering Statistics. I had already had freshman Statistics of course. My point is Engineering Statistics proved the Mark Twain quote of "Lies, Damn Lies and Statistics" to be true beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Voted. Put Volk te37's and BFG's on within 3 months of ownership putting me at about $4K, that number does not include all other miscellaneous mods.

If it makes you look better in your wife's eyes. I spent over $10,000 in the first 6 months. I knew I was going to before buying the truck.
