If the harness came with the lights, its adequate - KC isn't stupid. LED lights don't really draw all that much power anyway.

But I were building one, it would have a relay, because I love overkill. The diagram posted by 01 dhrracer is a good one for that.

Try plugging in everything outside the truck, but still attached to the battery. Double check that you have the correct wires attached to the correct points. If it works, then install exactly like that, otherwise, may have to do more troubleshooting.

Oh yeah, I was overlooking the text. I think the ones I remember best are usually like 3A for the switch fuse. The coil doesn't take much.

Yes they came on and looked great! Why I couldn’t hardly wait to get them on the truck bc my cbi ditch mounts came today too!

In that case you may have accidentally switched one of the three wires while putting it in. If the harness isn't super burnt up, try it again outside the truck.

That’s very possible bc I did undo the switch in order to get into cab. I plugged the negative into the “3” terminal and the other two in 1,2 terminals and tbh I’m gonna sound stupid bc I am when it comes to electrical. I didn’t really pay much attention to 1&2 terminals bc I didn’t think it really mattered... I just knew I put the negative in the correct place

You are running the wires through a grommet into the truck right? I saw you said trimming the firewall. Punch a hole in the grommet the main harness comes into the truck and use that to run wires into the cab. Don’t ever run wires directly against the firewall.

Gotcha! I did cut the hole out of the center of the grommet to insert thru firewall

I usually use a long screwdriver through the main grommet and tape the wires to the screwdriver then pull it all in at once through the grommet.

It can be difficult if you’ve never done it before. You can add a relay like in the picture someone posted. I’m assuming you have a lighted switch adding to your confusion?

Entirely possible that could have caused the issue. If you ran the truck afterwards and its fine, then you didn't mess up any wires. Just run another test and be sure to note what wire goes where.
