It depends on the question.... sometimes I cant help other than put the thread on the front wall for exposure or it's just stupid or way to involved to explain.

So, are you saying that it was the spring inside that yellowish white switch that I posted the pic of? If so, that switch is $46 from Camelback Toyota. The part number is 84052-71010. If your Toyota dealer wanted $120 for that switch, that's robbery. I need to order 1 for my truck, as the electrical contacts are worn and it doesn't always register that the key is in the ignition. This could allow the keys to get locked inside the truck.

Yes, that’s exactly what it was and that’s a crazy price difference. I’m in Canada so that might explain some of it, but I always found the dealer here to be absurdly pricey even coming from BMW. When mine failed it did the opposite and thought the keys were still in the ignition and therefore I could only lock by using a key in the door. Anyways the nice spring did the job.
