Help newest problems trans and motor

Of 2nd trip in the truck last weekend 1st problem motor the 2nd half of the throttle seemed to loose power and when letting off the gas huge back fire any ideas?

2nd problem transmission when put into drive had only one gear and I'm pretty sure it was first gear

It's a 2002 Tacoma 3.4l

Bogging and backfire sounds to me like its running to rich.

Stuck in gear could be a damaged trans computer component. That happened to my old car when I ran over a median and smashed the bottom on the curb. Next day it was stuck in first. Sorry it can't remember the exact name of the component I damaged.
