Only big difference is that I can now turn into a parking space and not rub my UCA's no other big difference but I only put 6 miles on them...

Cut & broke off some stuff.
My Terra-grapplers lasted over 60k miles. I got the H/L Alenzas now and regret it. They make more road noise and look wimpy compared to Terras . Handling on street seems the same. I haven't been stuck with either one but I don't go wild offroad.

The more posts I read comparing and contrasting different tires the more confused I get. I had only heard, until I read this thread, good things about the Terra Grapplers (e.g., a friend has them on his Xterra and really likes them). I also like the S/T MAXXs but regret the higher price. Since I live in an area that an get quite a bit of snow I am am also considering GoodYear's Silent Armor for their "Severe Service Emblem" as well as the All-Terrain T/A Kos for their inclement weather rating (see Discount Tire CO's description.)

    Any thoughts?

a lot of bad reviews on these tires. I just ordered ballistic jesters with nitto terra grapplers. I also got a good deal on them so im not really worried. Couple of my friends have them they are pleased with them for highway but they don't do much offroading so not to sure how they will do.

I'm not sure if you were commenting on the S/T MAXX, but I just read this review from Off-Road.com:

    http://www.off-road.com/trucks-4x4/review/cooper-discover-st-maxx-review-53335.html

They were really impressed with these tires - the only downside is they didn't have a chance to test them in snow.

    From FourWheeler:

    http://www.fourwheeler.com/techarti...erer_at3_and_st_maxx_tire_review/viewall.html (also not in snow...)

They too seemed impressed, but maybe not as much as Off-Road.com was.
