So I recently purchased some OME 2880 coils for my 1999 taco v6 4x4 and discovered that the old coils were nearly 1" longer than the OME ones, is this normal?
    Here are some pics:

I bought these coils from LowRangeOffroad.com so I contacted them to make sure this was normal and they seemed as surprised as I was and claimed the OMEs should be taller. I sent them some pics and they concluded that these were coils from a 1st gen tundra and said it was a common way to get a cheap ~2" lift but the OME coils should be fine. I thought this was odd because the truck seemed to sag, especially with new leafs in the back, not like if it had a front lift.
Luckily, my father has a 2000 taco v6 4x4 (the reason I got my taco and great when i need parts...jk) so I decided to compare parts.

So my dad has had this truck since it was almost new when he bought it from the dealer as a trade in. Now I KNOW it was not lifted and he hasnt done any modifications on it so the coils are going to be factory. Now the challenge, can you tell which coils are supposed "tundra" coils and which ones are tacoma? I dont know if i could...

Where the coil came from (Left to Right):
    1) 1999 Tacoma passenger side (mine)
    2) 2000 Tacoma passenger side (dad's)
    3) 1999 Tacoma drivers side (mine)
    4) OME 2880 coil from LROR

So I havent told LROR of my findings yet (closed for the weekend) but I was hoping you all could help me figure out what is going on here. Is this normal? Am I freaking out over nothing? Im sure im worrying too much about it but once I install them they cant be returned so unless I know they will level out my truck I wont install them bc I cant afford another set. Thanks for the help!

So I took the coils to the dealer and they couldnt identify them nor did they have any 1st gens in the lot I could compare them to. Ive read on other sites there is a color code for the paint dots on the coils but I have yet to find anything for single color dots, does anybody know where I could find more info on that?
