I have gone back and forth on this a bit. Would the below be worth my time and money. All I am trying to do is get some of my rake back. I have 300-400 pounds in my bed most of the time, and my truck looks like it has a load in its diaper. I am not wheeling, but I spend a ton of time on old Forest Service and BLM roads. They are rutted, washboarded, and full of rocks. Just using the truck to get from A to B.

    2017 OR DCSB.

A.R.E. Topper with victory topper rack, blacked out exterior emblems, star armor side steps, TRD CAI, TRD Pro exhaust, Method MR305 NV 16in Rims, TRD PRO front grill, Meso coin holder, TRD Pro skid plate, Kings 2.5 coilovers with remote resis front and rear, OME HD Dakar’s, ECGS, LT285/75R16 KM3s, Dirt king UCAs, Meso gas cap holder, Meso blacked out interior kit, TRD start/stop red button, AVS low profile window guards, AVS low profile hood protector, Full LED upgrades inside and outside, decked bed storage system. And I’m sure there’s more I’m missing lol
I also run between 200-300 pounds daily (fully loaded up decked drawer system) and I have been just fine with a single AAL. Handles it perfectly and is very smooth. Can’t go wrong with either choice. However, it’s only temporary as it should be for you. I plan on running HD Dakars sooner than later. Stock leaf pack just a tad to weak...

Just swapped the Dakar leaf pack from my 2nd gen to a buddies 2019 OR DCSB and it feels just right with a load in the bed and/or towing

Add a leaf will give about 1 1/2" -2" higher in rear it would take a lot more weight to drop much.

I would consider a whole leaf pack, sell the existing to make up the cost a bit.

You can often find a spring shop to make one to your spec for the same price as oem leaf springs. Under 1000$

That said, the Icon AAL is the best one. Will you buy extended shocks like 5100s?

If you don’t want to have to run a longer shock (which you will have to if you go Dakar), reach out to Deaver and see if they can make you a custom pack rated for the weight you carry, but no more lift than stock leafs - I may be doing that only for 1” over stock in the rear

With the Icon AAL do I need to run extended shocks?
