I bit for the extended warranty. It also covers small dents and scratches. I had my truck a week and backed it into a loading dock, putting a large dent in the tailgate. I pushed most of it out and got the rest covered under the warranty. Got a stain on one of the seats removed as well. Seems worth it IMHO.

Paying cash does not get you a better deal. Dealerships actually prefer you get a loan because they make money on it. If he was buying a used truck then cash would better but Toyota wants the financing money on top of the sales price.

This is 100% correct. It is a common misconception that a cash purchase means a better deal when buying new. At first Toyota offered me 3.49% over 72 months. When I mentioned I had already obtained approval from my bank for 3.45% they came back with 2.49%. They absolutely want you to finance

so lets spell it out on simple terms- me X-finance manager/sales manager in car sales for 20yrs

there are over 100 toyota dealers begging for your business in so cal(from san deigo to los angeles area)
you need to look up invoice cost on a site like KBB.com or edmunds.com and then offer about $500 over that as your price(thats fair)(tax and license are the same every where)
all dealers pay the same for the car called invoice-
you are entering the worst sales times for car dealers(christmas time til taxes come out is very slow)

as far as financing toyota will finance 125% of M.S.R.P. if you have the credit score and history for it.(means yes you can throw in the SC)

and a fyi if you can get approved for this car you can buy a house right now.

dealers are like vegas and there job i to lie and wear you down so dont be affraid to walk out,to be honest you need to call internet managers and they will quote you by email and its that easy.
dont walk into the retail sales guys as you will have to play the game every time.
go to the internet manager and still to your guns

now there job is to get you to fall in love with it so you'll want to roll over and take it home, yes this works well for dealers(just like vegas)

hope this helps as you need to learn on how to buy a car.

    This is true,
So I have two dealerships i'm bouncing off each offer.
I just want to hear out how much everyone paid for there maintance/warranties if they did choose that route.
Also I think im getting a good deal on the truck itself and if I can get the super charger for under 5k I would be so stoked.

Toyota won't let you. I work at a dealership and I was told they won't.

Yep. Financing is always best. Makes your credit look good and you can always pay that shit off early. :)

The dealer has to get approval from Toyota, and they will not allow it. I've been though this entire scenario.

I test drove one and I drove my friends. It to me needs that extra push.I drove my buddy's taco when we go camping down the coast. IMO I think super chargers should be stock on these taco's. Maybe 2016 they will add the supercharger stock? Chevy did it this year, so maybe toyota will?

Link to when chevy added the supercharger from the factory? Don't remember any of their truck coming stock with a blower.
