They did... and I have been four wheeling for years... they were surprisingly great in mud and snow...

    Tread self cleaned excellent...

If you want a mud tire, then get the Hankook Dynapro MT... it beat all others in a off road magazine serious test of the top brands.

I don't know anything about the thornbirds, but the problem with the boggers is they're really made for just going straight in the mud. I've spent quite a bit of time at mud bogs, etc and seen the boggers and other swamper's in action, and I have a set of tsl's on my old bronco mud truck. The boggers pull HARD going straight, but unless you're just straight mud racing I prefer swamper's tsl for a great mud tire that's better on the turns and has better lateral traction for a typical mud hole. Once those big mud trucks have to make much of a turn there's other treads that will outperform the bogger IMO. But if you're mud racing, those boggers will pull like no other

OK, how about the Cooper Discoverer STT? Very cool off road looking tread, very noisy on the highway, 3 ply sidewall... I had them on my '05 for about 40,000 miles. Otherwise, as O mentioned above, the Hankook MT tire was highly rated by many off road magazines... HB Murphy and others run them with good success, I believe!
