Hi all. My son, SeattleCoug, is currently deployed with USMC, and his wife is trying to get some BAMF bolt on sliders installed on his 2015 2nd gen Tacoma in the next couple weeks before he returns. Looking for some installation recommendations or advice.

I spent a couple hours earlier this summer trying to install the sliders. I remember they were a royal pain - all kinds of bolts and nuts, some with pre welded nut/plates and no directions enclosed. On the drivers side I couldn't get the sliders to cinch up tight to the frame, there were brake lines that were going to rub on one of the install bolts, a front bolt/nut was near impossible to reach in the frame box, a rear hole did not line up; and then the passenger side had some kind of an electronic box in the way and maybe the catalytic convertor was tight too - my memory is foggy. I do remember thinking welded on may have been a simpler option for these.

Has anybody on here dealt with these sliders, know somebody or a shop that can install or weld them on in a fairly short timeline, or be able to suggest something, etc? I don't mind doing work if it is fairly straight forward, but I tend to draw the line when it comes to bending brake lines and mickey mousing a solution on somebody else's brand new truck.

His wife is currently living in the Milton area and I am in Shoreline so if a shop performs the install the southend would be most convenient. We are open to suggestions. Thanks all!

@JLee If I recall correctly they should have come with instructions for install. I know some of pieces have to be finagled in before you install and that black box can be moved or something.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Are these the 100% true bolt on sliders or the older set that need to be drilled?

I was told they are true bolt on. He bought them this year as I recall. The sliders are drilled in multiple locations.

Here is a good write up that one of my customers did https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/install-how-to-bamf-100-bolt-on-slider.372255/
I have yet to get a truck in the shop to do my own instructions we will have some on the site as soon as we get a truck to do so.

Thank you for the link. Yeah, I remember much of that from when I was under it, only I wasn't able to able to draw up the bracket snug with a C clamp, and didn't think much of that brake line clearance. I've pulled engines and transmissions, rebuilt a few motors, so I am not a stranger under the car. I just think these are requiring more mods than a straight bolt on option should. I still think weld on is the way to go on these. If all else fails, I will just wait for my son and do the job with him when he has time, and he can wield the grinder, bend the brake lines, and mickety mouse as he sees fit. Like I said, I just can't bring myself to do those mods to someone else's brand new truck.

One last shout out in case someone on here knows somebody or a shop in the southend that can install or weld them on in a fairly short timeline.
