Aren't the possible water areas it may be in only like 300 ft deep?

That is true on trips around the US ... International flights will take on more fuel for long flights... Like a 6 hour flight mostly over water

They can always jettison fuel if they are overweight which would only happen if they had an emergency right after takeoff and needed to land immediatel. Weight wouldn't be a factor after 6 hours

How much fuel did the airline say MH370 had on board? ... They haven't been very helpful with information during this whole thing

6 hour flight + 2 hour reserve = 8 hours of flight time

Just saw where they 'think' the engine may have been sending engine trend monitoring via GPS for 4-5 hours after Malaysian ATC handed the aircraft over to Vietnamese ATC ... that tells me that the airplane was still flying they just don't know where it landed

Some areas are less than 100 feet deep

    Indian Ocean gets deep quick

    2.5 miles deep

I don't get it - so if the first flight is showing that the plane only went so far from its origin, and the other flight radar ^^^ the one in this video (Which i personally checked out on flightradar24.com) shows that the plane went much further even past Vietnam, then why isn't that in the focus of shit?? I mean wouldn't that clearly contradict any previous speculation and clearly the plan went missing at the end of it's "new" route...?

I was looking at that too. It's weird because the one I look at stops just after Malaysia but according to the new one this guy was watching before it keeps going: http://youtu.be/hNZtz-HVy6c

Mine just stops like in the first part of his video when I watch it.

Interesting too because I've read there's only a few airports this plane can land at anyway due to it's size.

I keep thinking that too but that doesn't explain why the engines stop sending signals. That's why they expanded the search area because they said they still had "a whisper" from the plane for a little while after last contact.

"That said, the latest evidence of an electronic whisper from the plane, extending an electronic handshake to satellites but containing no data, suggests the aircraft was at least capable of communicating, though nothing else is known about its situation or whereabouts

    Read more: http://www.businessinsider.com/satellite-pings-from-malaysian-jet-2014-3#ixzz2vtHZ7b1z"

They'd need the engines to land so it seems they would have still gotten notifications.

    I don't know :goingcrazy:

My guess is the plane is sitting on the sea floor, intact with empty fuel tanks.

IMHO the flight crew or just one crew member is behind this whole mess. With no mayday call, no sqawk of an emergency on the X-ponder, no busted altitude alert to center controllers, no ACARS reports.. etc.

The crew had to have shut down every messaging system, drop below radar coverage, change course and fly on until the engines go silent.

An inflight break-up/shoot-down would yield some surface debris for miles, including luggage, full tanks worth of jet-A, hydro fluid, seat cushions, curved aluminium...etc.

I'm eager to learn what story the CVR/FDR (cocpit voice recorder/ flight data recorder) tells... if they ever find the plane. :(

    Anyway, that's my opinion/theory.

Now CNN is saying that ACARS did xmit to Boeing and Rolls Royce via GPS after LUP ATC handed MH370 over to SGN ATC ... Xponder turned off and left turn west toward India and ACARS sent signal for 4-5 hrs after course change

Still praying for a controlled landing with approx 8 hours of fuel

Only 5.5 hrs to Islamabad, Pakistan - they can get feet dry in southern Iran

Here's a good reason to steal the airplane http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/malaysia-a...freescale-semiconductor-top-employees-1440097

Well it sucks the story changes every time I read something. I'm still thinking crewmember or crew foul play.

When the smoke clears, I'd love to know exactly what happened and of course, why it happened.
