I changed my profile pic on YouTube. Hadn't drawn in years but decided to sketch a little today.

And then just ran it though a photo editor for some contrast and stuff

I bet your kitchen smelled amazing while you were cooking the soup.

You didn't say in your video, how did you like the bone marrow?

actually most of my house smelt like onions for a day or so haha, the marrow was not exactly like I was expecting; I think it would have been much better grilled over charcoal so it could have picked up some flavor. it had almost an olive oil texture like you would get with an italian bread dipping oil, and the taste kind of reminded me of oysters or maybe clams for some reason; not to say it was fishy, there was just a bit of a briny taste like you get with raw oysters and had something about it that left my thinking I could have just had an oyster haha. I dunno that I would buy it just to have marrow but it was a neat thing to have with the steak and the bones made an excellent stock. It would be something cool to play with if you could get it super cheap somewhere though because its just like a blank canvas pretty much, no overwhelming presence of anything in particular.

Most of the time, I get marrow bones about 9-10" long and have the butcher cut them in half lengthwise. Then, drizzle with olive oil, coarse salt and fresh cracked black pepper and fresh rosemary. Then I either roast them, or put them over a charcoal grill. Then scoop out, put it on a crostini and add some sun-dried tomatoes that have been in oil.

That's pretty much the going rate. It's not very popular any more with the home kitchen cooks, but you are starting to see a comeback of marrow bones in "higher end" establishments in the bigger cities. Heck, last May we were at a steakhouse in Montgomery and they had marrow bones as an appetizer.
