HELP! Parking brake grounding error

2021 Toyota Tacoma Pro

'21 Taco Pro with Dasita 13 installed. I grounded the new head unit itself but getting "release the parking brake" error on dash. Please help bc I'm confused with the TR7 or can I just ground the parking brake? Do I need a switch or relay? (Some forum threads indicate that I cannot "just ground the brake on newer units"
