Help pick the color of my truck!

So I went to one Toyota Dealer tonight, and got everything set to order. I just didn't give them the deposit yet. So here are the details! I'm excited

2013 Double Cab 4WD

Exterior Color: Black
Interior Color: Graphite

- 4.0L V6
- 6-Speed Manual Transmission
- TRD Sport Extra Value Package
- V6 Tow Package
- Floor Mats
- Toyota Tube Steps

Out the door for $30K

What do you guys think, good price or should I visit another dealer and see what they could get the same truck down to?

$30k? That's a good price IMO for 4x4 TRD Sport. Is it a DCLB or SB?

I went white, but I love the black. I am getting too old to wash my truck twice a week.

 

Black makes your truck harder to recognize. A white Tacoma sticks out and makes people say "oh wow a Tacoma". A black Tacoma looks like any other black pickup truck. Plus the white on black Stormtrooper theme looks awesome.


IMO a "murdered out" tacoma looks weird. It's like a giant black hole. A white Tacoma with black rims looks badass.

 

I think white looks best with these trucks.

 

When clean, there is no better looking truck than black. But there is the kicker...."when clean"... I own a 99 black Tacoma and it is not garage kept right now. Impossible to keep looking as good as I want.

But when it's clean......

 

Black FTW. I have two trucks and there both black just cant go wrong with it if your not lazy.lol spray wax after every wash does the trick.

 

Silver is a good middle ground. Fairly easy to take care of and still looks good. It would just be nice if Toyota finally refreshed their shade of silver for the Tacoma.

 

I agree...time for another shade of silver, maybe a bit on the darker side.

 

I got the green, its so moody that in certain light it's black. I love it. However, It's never white.. Just don't populate the roads with another silver Tacoma

Get white and turn it into a stormtrooper! Stormtrooper tacos are my favorite imo. I wish I could go back and buy an 09 and build a stormtrooper.

Haha! The dealer had a White and Black 2012s. I asked them to park them side by side so I could choose, and I had to go black. But it is all null and void now as they wouldn't give me a fair price on my WRX. So I am going to pay off my WRX then buy a taco in a couple of years. I'll have the Rex paid off in early 2014 and then buy a taco and enjoy both a turbo charged hatchback and an 4x4 pickup!

 

I couldn't imagine going through all of that and not pulling the trigger! You must have more will power than I. If I were to spend all that time at a dealer and creating a thread to determine the color I was going to get, there is no way I could walk away. I've gone to purchase a vehicle several times with the "I'm not paying over this price/excepting less than this for my trade" mentality and wind up justifying it when it comes down to signing on the dotted line... Good for you.

However, given how this thread went, I bet you change your mind 15 more times before you actually make the purchase!

 

x2, but my vote goes toward black, theres something about a black vehicle. Not very common with Tacos either, rarely see them.

 

Haha, I probably will. It was hard to walk away. I left the dealer ready to pull the trigger, but slept on it. Once I did, I realized that they were giving me over $2k under what I wanted for my car. I was asking KBB poor condition trade-in value and the car is in average condition. So I went back a week later and asked if they would come up $2k on the car, and the salesman disappeared (to talk to the manager) 15 minutes later he said they couldn't do it so I walked away. I really want the truck, but it has to make my wallet happy too.
