    Aloha,

I just installed the kit on my 2022 Tacoma.

It works however the video both the front and back have what looks like spikes that are especially evident on the guidelines. Attached is a short video and a close up photo.

The backup camera video was not like that before of course. It was nice and smooth.

I've sent an email to the manufacturer but I thought I'd ask the experts here also.

Any suggestions for a fix would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Disconnect all of the stuff you connected and re-install. Double-check all screws holding wire connectors like grounds.

Any luck in getting it sorted out?

Note the harness from the camera has a ground connection. Is that connected to the chassis ground?

    This is for 2020+ Installations.

    Aloha,

    I've got all the
    Aloha roundrocktom,

    Sorry for the delay.

Yes, the camera ground is securely connected to the firewall.

Prior to installing the kit, I took the time to carefully read the installation manual and viewed a few install vids including the ones below for tips and reference.
    • Video for a 2022 Taco like mine

This is pretty much how I installed my kit. Just like in the video, I used the same tools/items for connections: a heat gun, solder seal wire connectors, a soldering iron, heat shrink tubing, and ground end terminal connectors. The only difference is that I installed the ground wire from the relay and the switch to the 10mm bolt on the wall directly behind the head unit like in the next video.

    • Video for a 2019 Taco

I have reached out to Anytime via email but didn't get a response. Via chat on their website, the person (not sure if it was Brian) looked at the image I shared and agreed that it shouldn't be like that. Unfortunately, nothing was offered in terms of any possible things to look at though.

I'll check all the connections again this weekend and report back.

    Thanks.
