    Hey fellas,
I own a Taco but unfortunately the following person stole several things from my friends property. Since I know you guys know your trucks, I was hoping you guys can provide any details on what you think this truck is?

Year? Model? Stock Suspension?Stock Rims? Sunroof?

I'm guessing a Chevy S10 but not too familiar with these crap trucks.

    Any help would be grateful.

That does look like an S10.

Larger pic available? Might at least help to nail down the year.
From that shot/angle, it looks like a '94 or later, but the extended cab windows are messing with my head... they don't look right.

Edit: Definitely '98-'05 with those windows.

Not a 99, the back windows are square in your pic. These slanted a bit.

S10 or Sonoma (GMC). 1994-2003. I'd guess GMC Sonoma by the rims, but not absolutely sure. If you were able to zoom in, it would say on the hubcaps. Looks like a stock 2wd with stock rims on it to me. Unless it's loaded down heavy, then it could be 4wd. I can't see the roof, don't think they came stock with a sunroof.

Is it just me or does he have low profile tires with whitewalls?

I think he's got white letter tires and the truck is moving in the picture, so it looks like whitewalls.

Wow, thanks guys! This will be shared with the detective assigned with the case. Yes, that bed is full of my friends stuff including tools, tv and much more.

Some say there is white lettering on the tires which I am trying to verify. Are the rims stock?

What also confuses me is the color? I wasn't sure if S10s came in dark gray. I thought only silver.

Thanks again fellas for coming through.

I don't know how to zoom in on it, so you would know better than me.

Would make it easier to spot if it does have whitewalls.

Who the hell would put those on a truck? A dumbass thief perhaps.

They came in a darker brown color. I will see if I can find a pic somewhere. I am wondering if there were colors unique to GMC also.

I'm looking at pictures and can't find what I was thinking of. If it's not brown, it's like a champane color. The one in your pic looks brown to me.

It really does look like some low pro's whitewalled on some chrome 5 spoke wheels. Tinted rear windows clear up front....and a blue tarp in the bed filled with your friends shit.

Also...see if there are any restaurants, banks, anything with cameras that may have picked him up down the block or something.

Hope you catch them. That's an awfully bold thing to do. Any chance your buddy knows these guys? Anyone been to the house lately making deliveries? Repairs? Have the neighbors seen anyone looking in the windows?

I go into people's houses all the time (with permission of course). In the last nine years doing this job, not one neighbor has questioned what I was doing after I took the keys from under the flower pot and walked into the house. I could walk into a house wearing a uniform and wheel out a couple boxes on a dolly and put them in my van and I really doubt anyone would make a phone call. But I would never try it unless I had cased the house first. Hopefully someone saw something. These guys might be wearing coveralls or something to make themselves look official.

Thanks, yeah all neighbors were home at time but did not notice. We are still trying to determine if its a GMC Sonoma or a Chevy S-10 and this will allow us to narrow it down further.
