Some message comes up can not find pictures, go to the manual etc. I had it on 3 screen on the radio because that came up and I left it alone. There is a 2 screen option, maybe that is my problem? and there are only 2 pictures on usb. Pictures are in JPG format... What am I doing wrong??

Wanted to add I am using a SanDisk USB

I'm not sure you can do that with the SR.
But if you can, make sure the file names are correct.

I upgraded the radio, I have to read the manual. Something I am missing. I had the startup screen but can't go further

Are you asking about custom start up and screen off images?
awful camera work, but it does show the whole process.
Note that the FOLDER names are specific, but the IMAGE name can be anything.

Folder Names must be correct. As Daddy_O said in post #2.

I renamed the phots but did not make a new file. I went out and the radio is still not seeing it, so I guess I have to change the pictures to a new file. All I did was rename the pictures. I guess separate files for each picture will do it?

Do you have them in the correctly named folder on the USB stick??? The photos can be named anything. The folders on the stick MUST be exact.

I had to format the USB to FAT32 before the truck took it.
Probably in the manual, but I went a thread here on the forum.

No go. I do not have any of this in my manual because it is SR I guess. I upgraded the radio to GPS with a card. I did the separate folders and named them. My next and only option break out a new usb. This usb had songs on it that I deleted, so maybe, just maybe it is the thumb drive. I have to goggle this Fat32, thanks guys for all the advice, I have a couple of things to retry now

No go, the usb is fat 32 already, I tried it again and tells me the same thing, cannot find usb. I am able to play music from usb so I know it works. I am taking a break from it, my brain hurts, thanks again guys.
I installed the usb prior to setup so it should have enough time to find it

Seems weird that you can play music from the stick but not transfer the pics. My truck is just an SR5 with no premium audio or nav.

Hope you get it figured out.

I remember having trouble with mine, aside from the FAT32. Something trivial, but it's been too long now.

A few properly administered beers usually helps.

Those were the days, having a few beers would help but I stopped drinking in 86. A whole other story why...

Ok, finally figured it out. Here’s the low down..

    Must have:

    Fat32
    Case sensitive folder names
Jpg or jpeg suffix on file
Less than 15 character picture file name.

    Then...and only then...did it work.

Thanks guys, I will be reading tonight and try again tomorrow, I formatted my usb to Fat and I made my folders first, labeled them and then I inserted the pictures. Sorry if I brought a old post to life but I do see some new comers are using it also. I have my links now for this Mod and tons of info on it here. Appreciate the old guys helping me out.......... Not that I am a spring chicken..............
