I have a 2002 Tacoma Dbl cab TRD V6 4x4. So I did the "grey wire mod" in the summer and after tried the diff lock several times and everything worked great. I haven't used it for about 5-6 months and just yesterday was stuck in the snow and decided to use it. It locked perfectly and then when I went to unlock it nothing happened. It is stuck locked no matter how many times I push the button. The red dif lock button light remains lit while the button is depressed (off). I have done figure 8's and have driven in "S" patterns and have drove in circles. NOTHING! Remains locked. I have tried to listen for the Actuator and I can not hear it AT ALL. I have looked at the fuses under the dash and all are good. Is there a fuse in the engine bay fuse box that may be the culprit? I have read several threads but am trying to eliminate everything prior to pulling the actuator out. This is the only problem I have ever had with this truck and I have owned it for ten years. I have never done this and I will probably need some advice. If anyone with experience knows how to go about this I would be more than grateful.

Delete This. Figured it out. It was the connectors. They were all gummed up and wet. Stupid.
