This is slowly turning into a nightmare.

The front woodruff key that drives the crankshaft pulley has sheared off.

I ordered another woodruff key that I plan to install. My question is, how the hell do you remove these keys? Drill it out? I've tried using penetrating oil and a hammer/chisel to no avail.

    Any tips?

    Thank you.

Might try a propane torch to heat it. Usually you can get under the edge to pop it up with a screwdriver or chisel. Or hit one side with a punch and get it to rotate up on the other end.

I have never removed one but i would turn it to the 6 o'clock position and let gravity work for me while tapping on it with a punch and applying heat.

if they are half moon shaped on the bottom, a tap with a punch and hammer straight down should force it to rotate and ride out. If they are flat, a sharp small metal chisel struck from the side might loosen it up. If it distorts the key that gives you a grip for the vise grips or large end-cutters, not side cutters, end cutters, to get a good grip on it.

Looking for help from someone who has done this before because I am planning on ordering the parts to replace this before opening it up because of limited shop time. I plan to replace the seals that are easily accessible while I have this off because I know it is leaking oil. Could someone with experience doing this give me a list of seals that I will need to replace while I have this apart?
Found this one, but I am not sure this is the only seal I will need. Thanks for any help.

And also just as a precaution the keys I will need are two? of these
