Help: removing oxygen sensor wire 01' Taco

    Changing out the OS on my taco, how do I get the dang wire off the sensor?

    You mean you are trying to unplug it from the harness? If so, it has a tab on the outside of the connector that you squeeze while pulling on the pigtail to get it to release. Hard to see, and a little tricky at first.

    Is it the upstream or downstream sensor, both wires are a PITA to unclip.

    Thanks man. I was under the trucking getting heated - thought it may be the type you need a small screwdriver to unpin. Found the squeeze spot and Bam!!!!

    Replaced the sensor, "check engine light" is now OFF :D

    Not off or now off?

    You have to reset the check engine light with a scanner, or disconnect the battery for a few minutes.

    whooooppppssss. Fixed.

    "NOW OFF"

    Left the battery off over night. Had a mechanic buddy test it, everything is fine and passes.
