He needs to take the tough love and realize everyone is trying to keep him from taking a trip to the morgue

Scary shit you got going on there man.
    Wood blocks are your friend

    Remove skid plate
Take picture of sway bar orientation with phone
Remove sway link nuts and pull out sway links from spindle
Remove two frame supports (16” long length of truck in front)
Remove sway bar bolts on frame with rubber bridge bushings
    Rotate sway bar slowly out
Reinstall two frame supports (torque 70ft/lbs)

Hf shit isn't that bad unless it's electronic. It's hard to fuck up steel shit. Even with seemingly bad looking welds, you'd be surprised with what you can get away with. I come from ironworking and tower crane erection and I'm a stickler for details, I definitely push shit to it's limits. HF jack stands are pretty safe imo.

    Opps.
You are definently more likely to be crushed to death than laughter though, statistics prove it.

I have seen the smaller jack stands used and they can bow out worse than a bow legged cow girl if fully extended. Said nope, we need bigger ones, cause I am not crawling in there.

Not to mention...I think his back tires are resting on an angled driveway

This was definitely one of the most failed attempt at internet points. And with that floor jack right next to the mower in the background too.

I have seen every style of jack and hoist fail.

Redundancy is key to home work, especially alone.

I always backup my steady jacks with hydro and a tire if alone.

I see many customers bring in cars with bent backing plates due to them slipping off jacks... I havent seen a death yet.

Bending is better than breaking. A lot of times your mind can freak you out. Not saying there's nothing wrong with erring on the side of caution, but a lot of times (IME) shits good for way more than it would seem. Just as an example, 400' up, we were removing a tie in. The crane was leaning wayyyyyy out away from the building. There we three tie in's (from the building to the crane) holding this crane plum, after removing most the bolts, the only thing holding it was one 1/2-13 bolt. We took a torch to it and heated it up cherry hot, until it stretched far enough to break. We're talking close to 300k of weight falling out of plumb, all held on by one piece of all thread.

    Is he still alive?

I tried driving around without a swaybar but the truck just feels too loose like driving a stock OffRoad.

It's a good thing he asked and everyone blasted him for what he was attempting to do.
If he tried pulling on anything under the truck, it would have dropped and he'd have lost a leg or both.
Fuck dude.....that is NOT the way.

When I'm under, only jack stands and wheel blocks.
