Help...Rubbing Issue

    cat back magnaflow exhaust- stage 2 k&n intake- URD MAF Sensor Calibrator, Westin bull bar, black housing headlights, yellow fogs, 10000k hid, fog light mod, 3in tuff country lift
    I went to put new tires on my truck tonght.....285-70-17 bfg all terrain...I have a 3 inch tuff country suspension lift and i am rubbing on the uppper control arm..how is that possible i know your supposed to rub on the plastic but not the control arm...I dont know whats going on because my buddy has the same truck with a 1.5 inch level kit...and has 285-70-17 hankook mud terrain and he doesnt rub...i dont know what to do or what tires to put now

    should i just run a 275-70-17 because i dont know what to do i dont want to switch my wheels...But its weird how my body with half the lift with the same rims wont rub and im hitting the upper a arm

    You need wheel spacers to clear the upper control arms

    Yeah...That size on a OEM wheel is gonna rub the UCA. You can get wheel spacers, of drop a tire size.

    ok well i think ill try the 275-70-17..i dont think rubbing will be a issue with that will it?

    Thats only 10mm differance in width (5mm per side). It may help.

    if you already purchased the tires why not just get some spacers, it will allow you to clear your ucas and give your truck a sick stance:thumbsup:

    i didnt buy them they took them off...but arent spacers bad to put

    spacers are only bad if you get the ebay ones(and the bolts sheer off), if you go with spidertracs you should not have any problem

    and you think it would look ok with the 3 inch lift it wont look funny

    Alot of folks on here are running that size (its a 32" tall tire), and it looks fine. Timmer is one, Im running a 32" tire (although 18" wheels), as are others. If you want to keep the OEM wheels, and run no spacers, its the best choice. And....You'll save a few bucks.

    and they will be ok off roading and stuff and heavy driving..because i get on the truck a lot
