I am a total noob when it comes to car audio...
Today, I spent about 5.5 hours installing a single din Kenwood deck. Not too mention the hours I spent researching how to install the deck. The install came out pretty good, but now I need to hook up my amp...
So I am wondering where did most people run there RCAs? And HOW did you do that? I seen in one of the stickies that the poster sent it behind his dash and down the drivers side step rails. I tried to put my wires behind my dash, but have no clue where to even get it started or where it would come out. So if anyone could help me out here, I would appreciate it.
And my second question is where to connect the remote wire on my aftermarket deck? I asked some friends who know about car audio and one said wire it to the ignition, but this is over my head. Another one said to wire it to the deck...so how do I wire it to the deck? If I remember correctly, the harness had a wire that I didn't use and on one side it said "remote" and the other side of the same wire said "steering wheel remote" would this be the wire that I hook the RCA up to?
Any help or input would be greatly appreciated! I am hooking the amp up to 2 JL 10W1's in the stealthbox, so I am anxious and eager to get my system up and running!

You need to read more car audio mags or something...lol

You can run your rca's anyway you like...get creative...I usually like to run my rca's down the center console because shorter rca's are a bit cheaper...

And for your remote the blue wire in back of the deck usually is the spare amp remote wire...or what ever wire that said "remote" on it.

I ran my RCAs down the passenger side. I routed them out he back of the deck, down behind the glove box, through the kick panel, and down the side under the step panels. I ran the power wires down the other side.

The remote wire, Blue most likely is a direct connet to the wire from the head unit. I ran mine with a bosch relay.

run RCA's away from power wire (separate sides like suggested below) Blue wire on deck labeled remote turns the amp on when deck is turned on...connect to amp where labeled remote. Ground amp with shortest posible wire...same gauge as power wire. Good luck.
