I put my truck in 4wd low yesterday, and now it wont come out. It just blinks and beeps, never getting out of 4wd low. I limped home at 35 mph, and after look on the inner-web, found that the indicators for the transfer case position are from switches sensing detents on the shift shift rod (2 red arrows),located within the shift motor assembly (circled in yellow).

I took that assembly off, took it apart, and really didnt find anything amiss or suspect. What I havent done yet (it got dark on me last night) was to see if the shift rod can moved freely through the 3 positions (2wd, 4wd, and 4wd low), but my question is...it looks like this shift motor would have to be "indexed", or "timed" on the shift rod when put back in. I mean, it needs to know where it is on the shift rod, right?

Sooooo...does anybody know anything about this?

    Thanks,
    ~Chris
