Take the Benz for a test drive, enjoy and then keep your truck. You will spend thousands a year fixing that POS Benz.

how dependable is that benz with that much hp being used at a track? have you ever taken a car to a track for a day? tires and brakes can need replacing after a weekend of hard driving.. it gets expensive is all i'm saying. and you're confined to the city. good luck with whatever choice you make!

I can imagine the maintenance cost of that benz ... And you just a poor college kid... Then don't forget the insurance for that mega HP Beast. And your sig says that you are 20 years old. My god I can only imagine what the Insurance company is going to say.

    Think about it.

I don't think you can afford it.

Keep the Tacoma. I work for a German Company. I know what their machinery is like....

Have you thought about insurance before and after speeding tickets? haha I couldn't resist if I drove that.

Just to get the oil and filter for that benz is upwards of $120 plus the hour and a half you'll spend doing it, just relate that to other maintenance. Motors on those things stock are good for maybe 150k? built like that, maybe half of that. 90k is pushing it honestly. That's just my .02

my mom had a g class and it had so many problems (tranny, ecu, the window motors broke.?, etc) that Mercedes actually bought it back, i think it turned out to be a lemon but I'm not 100% sure. My step mom however has an old E class, 98 i think, and it has over 250k miles on it.
IMO the G class SUV is sexy as hell.

EDIT, she had an R class, my bad

If you could afford the repairs and maintenance on that car you wouldn't be driving a handy down vehicle and saying you're a poor college kid.

You couldn't afford to buy your own car in the first place, now you think you can afford an expensive car with almost 100k miles on it? Please. If the only way you can afford a Mercedes Benz it to buy one that's got 100k miles on it, you're an idiot.

Sorry, I'm not going to let some 20 year old shit tell me I'm trolling his thread and to learn how to read (which he edited out) because he doesn't like a reality conversation.

Can't afford his own car so he gets a handy down from dad. Now he wants to trade that for a car he can't afford, even with 90k on the odometer.

You asked for advice and I gave it to you

don't take this the wrong way, but your in college and "rollin in the benz" you will be the shizz. all your friends will be jelous and all the girls will swoon and drop drawers for ya.

that said, i've owned a couple amg's, and a bunch of other hot rod and exotic cars. it won't take long before you "see what it's got" and shortly after that you will be bumming a ride or walking.

insurance is extremely high (unless your gonna run on your parents policy), gas mileage is terrible, tires cost a ton, regular maintenance costs are very high. i doubt you could actually afford to drive the car.

now that car with 90k miles may or may not be a bad thing. if it was treated right, serviced right it will be ok, but that usually isn't the case. most of these cars were either drove like hell and neglected, or drove very rarely and sat most of the time. both things will kill a car. with the mileage on the clock, i would say it was driven and driven hard.

most people with the money to buy a car like that (and can actually afford to operate it) don't worry about the price to fix things. they have the money and are not afraid to use it.

keep the truck and after college and a good job you can get what you want. with your connections (your dad seems to have some $$ so i bet he knows others in the same class), you will be able to find a "exotic car" whenever you can afford it.

Don't mind peepee. I too grew up on the northside, every kid at HS had Benz, audis, lifted trucks. 6 figures FTW.

Cool story. You asked on a public forum for opinions and advice. I gave you an opinion, you made a dick reply to it and then edited that part of your post out later after I replied to it, so you don't have any balls anyway obviously.

Don't like my post, report it. Don't come at me like you can smell yourself and then tell me my panties are in a wad and you're just some innocent bystander. You want to be an asshole, I'll be one too. Except I won't edit my post afterwards like a pussy.
