That is exactly what I am talking about. Their job is to sell you what they have and convince you that you want it, not find exactly what you are looking for.

I know exactly what i want in terms of color and options if they try to sell to me. I just asked whether sport or offroad. So far, I think im going for sport. Pretty sure $33,000-34,000 sounds reasonable.

If you want a Manual you may have to wait awhile, took about 4 Months to get mine but is well worth the wait.

Just ordered a 2018 Sport DCSB on 2/14 and the build date was 3/19. It's Quicksand color, Premium package (leather, heated seats, sunroof, etc), tech package, TRD exhaust, mud flaps, all weather mats and door sill protectors, predator steps. Cost was $39,785 without tags and taxes. And that was after almost $2400 Costco member discount. But have to wait like 6 weeks to get it, which is fine, cause it's my specific truck I wanted.

Seems a little high to me. Alot of the mods can be gotten for alot cheaper after market. Things like weathermats and predator bars are easily bought off Amazon and at halfprice most times

Is your current truck paid off and running fine? Then keep it and save/invest that monthly payment.

The Sport suspension sucks... get the OR... you get a rear locker and a decent suspension to go with. The OR doesn't have a softer ride. The Sport has different shocks that are shit... they are HARSH not stiff and body roll in turns. The suspension was the first to go in the GARBAGE when I got my Sport.. I didn't have a choice to get an OR with manual tranny back when I got mine or I would have.

I love my sport and don’t need an OR but if you like the look of the OR you might as well get that because you get the locker and crawl control plus you get the look you want which ppl argue with the sport and the scoop. But drive each one n see what you like the feel of

I have a Sport MT and I wouldn't go with anything else. It's awesome. I live in WV and I have driven a lot of back roads, curvy and straight alike. It handles great and I wouldn't trade it for an OR. My best friend has an OR and I like it, but it's just not my style. His is also an Auto. Love the looks of the Sport. And if you like the black fender flares, you can always add them later.

My question would be, does chrome bother you? If so, then don't go OR because they have the chrome bumpers. Seems like a lot of people are bothered by chrome nowadays. That's a consideration.

I love my OR. I chose it over the sport because I liked the look better and like already mentioned it comes with the better suspension...Good for towing as well.

OR Fenders, OR rims, Heritage Grille. Eventually a lift and locker.
Hey man, I'm not sure where you live but I just went through this myself. I'm in Canada and because I wanted a DCSB I only had two options available; OR auto or Sport manual. I didn't care about the transmission but accepted I'm on road 90% of the time, and off road about 10% max. I also just came from a Jeep wrangler that was thoroughly built to be offroad and despite the money I dumped into the Jeep to get it on 37s and destroy the trails I STILL was only 10% off road. I ended up choosing the creature comforts of the Sport over the OR because I figured it was easier to add a locker into a sport later (which guys seem to do frequently) instead of adding leather and sunroof into an OR. <-- again to clarify in Canada the models are different and ORs do not come with the upgrade package for leather, sunroof, and qi charger like the Sport does.

Anyway, that was my thought process when I was in your shoes. My truck actually just landed at the dealership and I'm picking it up Friday!

PS - I liked the fenders and rims from a OR more also, so the dealership is doing a free swap for me! They build a lot of ORs to have custom rims and bushwackers and have tons of the stock OR stuff sitting around. So it really was a win-win for me. Good luck my dude!

If you get Premium and Tech package on the OR it has a painted bumper too.

Not sure, when I built this truck on the Toyota website it was MSRP at $42,469. Costco New Car program site had it built at $39,018. The base truck was $37,110 with shipping. The extras I added cost: predator steps - $576, all weather mats and door sill protectors - $178, hood graphic - $104, D-rings - $43, TRD exhaust $730, Door edge quards - $106. Also have an automatic transmission which jumped the price from the MT cost.

I paid 42500 canadian dollars for my 2017 trd sport dclb auto tranny. It was upgrade package which meant moonroof, cross traffic sensors, blindspot monitorring, no jbl, came with door sill protectors. Only thing i added extra was bug guard and tonneau which i regtet cuz thuer price was 1500 cad. Most other things i got now is modded after the fact. I hear most get in the low to mid 30s for thier truck...just saying. Either way, you got a nice truck, just trying to warn the op about the stealership markups
