    Hello TW!

I had my first real off-road experience over the weekend on the trails in the Freetown State forest in MA. Damn! I love my truck!!!

After a day in the woods showing jeeps what a Tacoma can do, I've noticed my rear suspension is incredibly squeaky. If the truck is stopped and I move around I can hear it squeaking. If I get out of the truck and push up/down/side to side on the rear it squeaks.

What can I do to stop/fix this? I have not washed all the mud off the truck yet...could that be the issue?

Thanks as always in advance for your help!!!

Guessing it's your leaf springs, they like to be squeaky. spray everything down really thoroughly and see if the noise persists.

Thanks! I'm hoping a good wash will help too, I wasn't sure if it would be a bushing issue or something.

A good wash and when the fluid film arrives, that'll go on too.

It's almost certainly your rear leaf spring shackles. I spray mine and it only lasts a day or so. I'm off road everyday though.

My 16 OR started swqeaking again after the dealer replaced the leaf springs at 7000 miles. At 17000 now. Then I pull into the Pho restaurant and start to admire an 17 pro sitting in the parking lot. Chat with the dude for a min and he pulls out. Damn if that thing wasnt squeaking big time just in the parking lot!

Turn up your radio, that helps too.
