I bought king 2.5 extended and camburg uniball ucas off a guy. I recently finished the driver side and I am having a problem with the the sway bar. It is hitting the tie rod and it is not long enough to reach the hole on the knuckle. I torqued all bolts to spec and installed everything right including the sway bar relocation/ reservoir bracket. Its almost like the strut is not long enough. Please help.

Try loosening the sway bar brackets on both sides. Connect the sway bar to the spindle first then tighten the sway bar brackets. That should work

Jack up the other wheel until the sway bar is lined up on that side.

Ditch the sway bar, best free mod and with the Kings you'll be fine without it.
Over 25K miles without mine and I tow an expedition trailer also.
    Good luck with your truck.

Same with same setup (King 2.5 extended and aftermarket UCAs). Ditched the bar and never looked back. About 35k without mine as well

The sway bar should be connected last (after both sides are finished) and both side suspensions need to be at the same point of travel. So since the drivers is at full droop, is the right side?

It is jacked up from the front, both sides are at full drop. The passenger side sway bar is still connected, while I’m having the problem with the driver side. I haven’t installed the kings and new uca on the passenger side.

Do you have the relocation bracket on both sides?

That's your problem then... finish the install and everything will line up.

Thank you guys very much, I’m also having trouble adjusting the height or compression of the spring. It’s very hard to move the collar, I have tried using a 5/16 punch and a spanner wrench. I have also used wd40 to help it move and it won’t budge. It’s very hard to fit anything in past those shock towers. Any idea of what to do?

I've ran without a sway bar for about a year. I plan on reinstalling it. It isn't that great without. Even with good suspension it makes the truck handle like crap.

Probably going to want a spring compressor to take the tension off the adjuster before you can turn it.

I rented a spring compressor and it won’t fit in between the coils.

I am not familiar with Kings, my Eibach came with a wrench to turn the adjuster. Just have to remove the vehicle weight. Is there a locking screw? I wouldn't think so, it could damage the threads... worth a look though.

Is this an Allen head screw with a split in the collar? If so, this is the way this is locked. Loosen the Allen screw a bit and then try to adjust it. Then tighten the screw back up.
