Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
So I discovered some fluid on my new concrete. I found the cooling lines corroded and leaking. Leaving tomorrow for a 5 day camping trip and need to pull the trailer. I'm afraid my Toyota dealer won't have replacements in stock, or I won't be able to remove them to replace. Will "patching" in rubber line work temporarily? Any other thoughts or suggestions? Thank you for any and all info.

Pics would help. Can you not get a roll of the appropriate trans hose and just replace it?

I'd go rent a truck in the meantime. Without truly fixing it, you're risking a lot especially with towing

If I was going to try a cheap fix, I mean if I really had to, I would disconnect the line and cut several pieces of heat shrink. Slip one at a time over the leaky area, after cleaning as best I could, and shrink it down and repeat. Of course the best solution as you know is replacement, but in a do or die, that's what I'd do. I wouldn't spare the heat shrink either... it's easier to replace than a transmission. I'd also take me a nice little drive before I committed to the trip to make sure it's holding well.

I guess that is what I'm asking. Unfortunately no pics, had to work on my wife's truck tonight.

Not really an option. If I had to, I'd use my wife's, but it is pushing the tow limit.

I'm not looking for cheap fix, just one that works for 100 miles or so. It's not too far to go actually. The place we are going is really close, but soooo far from home if you know what I mean. My wife was supposed to tow the Ranger, while I towed the camper. But if need be, I'll make 2 trips, as it is pretty close.

Thank you all for your help.

Where exactly are they leaking? And how much is the leak?

Do you have something to monitor transmission temps? If so I'd just pack tools and some parts to patch it up and some extra fluid.

Thank you all, but VERY fortunately the dealer had them. They are installed and just gotta do a fluid fill and check, and we'll be on our way!!!
