Look for Electric ADD actuator for Tacoma pre 2005
    Simple as that

Thanks man! So to clarify the trucks with the select switch to activate 4hi use the same ADD as the ones with the standard J shifter? Also v4/v6 use the same ADD? And MT/AT?!?! 4276FD62-1D64-4D14-ADC8-F4F3D4171D9D.jpg

    Let me clarify
Your 2004 4wd Jshift WITHOUT BUTTON will go into 4lo and the green 4x4 dash cluster light goes ON?
    BUT
With MT in neutral or AT in park
When you pull the Jshifter back 1.5 inches from 2Hi to 4Hi the green 4x4 light stays off?
    And
When you move J shift from 4Hi to the right and up 3 inches the green 4x4 light turns ON?

If you agree with above why are you replacing that front differential ADD actuator?

Can you clarify the quote below this text?

before removing the add my truck went into 4lo, after removing the add and taking it apart (probably broke it) and putting it back in the truck I no longer can go into 4lo

So you have the PART NUMBER or did you break it off?

Yeah, you have to synchronize the actuator and differential actuator rod when putting it back in.

Can you manually slide the fork that comes out of the add? Mine won’t budge an inch...

tested 4wd indicator switch and apparently its workings. Removing crossmember made getting the switch out easier... I'll attach a video showing the steps i followed to test the switch. Where should i look next? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MX2YzfNb6yc&t=21s

Check the actuators and the indicator switches. In my case, I believe to be an issue with the ECU, but tbh I am unsure. Please update if you get 4hi working...
