Anybody in the Georgetown area know of a recovery service or have any friends let me know. I could really use a tow or a winch.

He said he was stuck in snow on the Argentine Pass in his other original thread. Its getting past dusk and cold up there at over 13,000ft, hope he’s out and not just shivering with a dead phone battery and no gas. Not good if he got out without notice here having a cold one at home, though.

    Any updates?

Checked for an APRS track in the area, and found them. Several hours ago, CO4x4 RnR went up to Levenworth Creek Road... so, it looks like this one was handled. They didn't make it anywhere near actual Argentine Pass, much less Waldorf.

Unfortunately, no. I just know they (CO4x4 RnR) use APRS on recoveries, so I hopped onto APRS.FI to check for signs of a recovery in that area (as I'm familiar with it). This time of year there's no way that anyone in a vehicle is going to reach the actual Argentine Pass, so I was curious to see where on the road/trail the recovery occurred.

I'm toying with the idea of getting licensed and joining them. Just need to motivate... if nothing else, to at least get the license and play with that comms gear.

Another recovery on-going in this area. Enough time has passed (snow melt) that they made it to Waldorf:
