Next time, pay attention to the warning signs leading up to this.

Congrats on the easy fix and new battery. I'd update the title and post #1 so people don't skip to the end and keep this thread going for another dozen pages.

Mine gave zero warning when it went out last month. It was starting strong until it wouldn’t start at all one morning.

I have had the same thing happen to my Sequoia battery. Working like a champ for 5 years then all of sudden, dead while on a road trip just fueling up. Luckily I had my lithium jump starter on me and a Costco was across the street for a new battery.

One of the warning signs is age. 4 years is end of life on these OEM batteries.

I got 6 out of my 4Runner battery but that was pushing it. It was obvious it needed to be replaced.

Glad you got it running again. The batteries they put in these trucks suck. Mine was about 2.5 year old when it died.

Gotcha. I knew mine was on borrowed time so wasn’t too big a deal.

Glad to hear the OP got fixed up

I always know hwo my vehicles crank, in tune with it. The first hint of something different I don't put it off even one more start if possible.
Extreme hot or cold will do an old battery in.
