I was was installing a new power distribution block and battery terminals today and disconnected my battery during the process but now after reconnecting the battery the truck is idling at 500 and running rough... Any ideas ?

The 2 OE grounds were reconnected properly and both OE power leads were reconnected properly as well so it almost seems like an ECU problem ?

Needs to relearn. Drive normally, in a few days it'll be back to normal.

Even disconnecting it for a few minutes or is this only for 15 minutes? I have unplugged my battery for 30+ and didn't notice anything

Sounds like the alternator isn't hooked up to me.
I've disconnected my battery tons of times, only thing she does is die out on first start after reconnect.
Sounds normal from what these guys are saying though.

My buddy just reminded me that there are small battery back ups called memory savers for your ECU to prevent this crap from happening. I have had my battery disconnected multiple times and I don't recall this ever happening before though. I knew you needed a memory saver to save custom tunes for things like unichip modules but had no idea the ECU could turn stupid this bad :/

Go back over all your connections to be sure.

    Depends on the vehicle.

See a lot of Tacos that don't seem to have an issue.
My wife's Rav4 runs like shit for the first 3-4 restart cycles. Bad enough that after the first restart she has to keep her foot on the gas when coming to a stop or it'll die.

My '03 Tundra idled poorly for the first startup but smoothed out quickly.
