My truck is a 2006 TRD OR 6 speed with 86k miles, I just finished unloading a bed full on compost, no issues before, no lights. I had the truck in 4 hi to get out of my back yard tried to pull forward and stuff started to jerk and jump and then the truck stalled. I then put it in 4 lo thinking maybe it was just stuck, same thing, tried locking the diff, same thing. I was able to get it out of my yard, only about 30 feet and into my driveway but it seemed liked it was dragging the rear wheels.

Now that it's on pavement it wont move forward at all, tried pushing in neutral and nothing, but reverse works fine.

Did I just grenade my rear-end? I've had the truck for less than a year and this is the second rear end that is in the truck, the first one ate itself and the dealership replaced it with a used rear end. I used 4 hi a bunch in the winter and everything was fine, this is my first issue with it.

Check the rear brakes. Drum brakes are more effective in forward than reverse due to differences in shoe lining material length. See which wheel turns which way with it jacked - and front wheels blocked - in neutral.

Ouch. Have you put the rear end up on yJack stands and tried spinning the wheels while in neutral? Brakes full of crap? Frozen E brake cables? Is the rear diff full? Check that before you Jack it up.

Good luck and let us know what you find.

So little update, I just pulled the negative to try and reset everything. Started the truck back up, still got all the lights. But then I tried rocking it back and forward a few times and on the 3rd rock I heard a pop and then the truck rolled forward and all the lights turned off. Drove it around the block in 2 hi everything seemed fined, got back to my house, put it in 4 hi, pulled forward and backwards a few times no problem. Then I decided to move it around a bit to hose the bed out, in 2 hi, and it's acting up again, this time no lights but the pass rear wheel wont turn.

Could this just be a funky e-brake? I had the brake on when we were unloading the compost, but haven't turned it back on since. It did seem like it was sticking a little bit before all of this. I need to get an oil change so I'll call my mechanic on Monday and see what happens.

Yes, it very well could be a sticking e-brake cable locking up that brake. That's why I suggested jacking it up and trying to turn each wheel. You may be able to free a sticking cable up by moving the cable outer housing back and forth where it comes out of the backing plate. Another possibility is banging on the brake drum or backing plate. All are temporary fixes though.
