Ray's truck is flawless! The leather kit looks sweet and wasn't too hard to install... just a good set of hog ring pliers, some hog rings and patience and they looked pretty damn good!

What does the stealership charge for an install... I just want to figure out if Ray's going to take me to Mortons  or Taco Bell :)!!!

    Not enough
Did my own 4door, Katskins, Black with preforated center peices. About $700.00 in 2006. I had no experience, took me about 8-10hrs working very slow and enjoying the work/results.

Difficulty level I would put it a 6.5 out of 10. Much easier then hooking up my alarm/starter, about a 9.

NOTE: My prerunner had Basic seats and they shipped the other, cost me a ton of PAIN....

I painstackingly cut, glued and placed the vinyl door arm rests on and well they sucked after a summer of heat. I had spray adhesive they sent me.

Take your time, remove the seats with great care, very hard to get them out with out scracthing some kind of cheap toy plasics.

Don't over work your hog rings, good is good enough. I was a bit to picky, just not worth it, the recommend installation would have been fine.

Take a Valium before you place the head rest on! Damn wish my gf was that tight a fit.

Really better to use a big blanket or towel on the door sills/door plastics so you don't scratch thme removing the seats.

Really that was about it.. .Ah I would buy or get some med priced hog rings and rings. I got the Elcheap kit with it and well it sucked. I asked the local upholstery guy and he helped me out with some real stuff after mine failed me.

Do you have side airbags? would want to ask about that!

Standard LEATHER Seats are going to only have Frnt seats leather on top seat and frnt back, head rest. Vinyl on rest, down sides and back. The rears are going to have only the inserts leather, head rest and around seating area inserts and sides are vinyl. DON"T BE FOULED. Now, 60k miles and mine look extremely good condition. Vinyl is probably actually better!! But just be it known.

PM for any questions! Good luck

PS I have some pics around somewhere, couldn't find them. Not much real photo helpful pics anyway but give you an idea, let me know if you guys want me to get up off the couch to find them.

^ I hear you man. I plan to hit Portland and start a family. I miss it and love it very much.

I'll miss tons of things from SOCAL but I'll never miss so many negative aspects of Cali.

Rad, In researching your seat modifications, did you come across after-market replacements with arms, like captains chairs. My wife's Highlander is very comfortable on long trips with the ability to rest your arms some.

I now have Custom Pecca. I did this painful install twice in my Taco. I will be honest. NEVER again!

I love my leather and a lot of people are impressed when they sit inside my truck.

Why did you switch out your leather? Did the Katzkin not fit or wear well anymore?!

I liked them, was NOT in love with them. So when I'm not 100% on something. I will make sure I'm happy. They lasted 1 to 2 weeks on my truck before redoing it.
