HELP! Water in my intake...

Need some help/advice. Yesterday i decided to clean out my afe pro dry filter with soap and water. I let it sit inside to dry for quite a while and it felt dry, reinstalled and didn' t drive my truck at all. Went to start it this afternoon, and it had a very rough idle, it didn't stall but i could tell something wasn't right. I pulled the filter off to find that there was some water in the tube. I then removed the whole thing, dried it out, and it is back sitting inside for atleast another 8-12 hours to dry out some more.

Do you think i damaged the maf, or plugs in anyway? Like i said, it didn't stall out as there wasnt that much water to suck in, but it still caused a noticeable rough idle. Will letting it sit to dry solve it, or did I really screw myself?

Your fine. A little water wont really hurt anything. A lot of water is a different story. If you just run it and let it get hot it should be fine.

 

That's another reason I don't like washable filters.

I have a K&N on my motorcycle and I have two that I rotate every couple of oil changes.

Answer- no. After a 15 min drive it will be dry.
