I was makin a left turn at an intersection and as I turned my tires and started moving I heard a thump on the left side near my tire. I have mudflaps on but it didn't sound like a scraping noise. I just got my right front tire fixed bc of a nail, could tht be it? Or Mayb something else around the tire?

good luck finding it. ..i've got a bumping noise coming from the right front as well. ..but mine only occurs when i'm going 12 mph. ..and it goes away when i put it in 4wd.

check the obvious ...rod ends, ball joints, ect. ..other than that, i got nothing.

Thts wat I've heard it could be would be a ball joint. How much does it cost to replace it?

Back to square one after the 2001. So...
If it is the lower ball joint, it may cost nothing; it is a recall item on many 01 trucks.

Check this out right away, it can be deadly if it comes apart on the highway. Call a dealership and give them your VIN, they will check.

You can also register on toyotaownersonline.com and check.

I just had mine done. Do it now.
