Well I ordered some tires from tirerack, and took them along with my 17 fj wheels to get them mounted on my stock 06 reg cab prerunner. I asked the guy on the phone if 255 75 17 would be a close fit to 265 70 17 and he said within a quarter inch all the way around. He said I should have no problem. Well the guy at the tire shop says he thinks these things are going to rub. They looked alot bigger than the tirerack guy said. What are my options if they do. Should I just get some 5100's and lift the front 1.75.

You should be fine. but if they rub a little, all it takes is a razor and a little trimming of the inner fender well and you'll be good.
My truck came with the 265's on it to begin. I can't imagine you'll have too much trouble with these.

Hey, would you mind posting some pics of the new wheels and tires installed. I'd love to see how it looks. I have a stock truck and just picked up some 17's and that's the tire size im looking at. Thanks

Those will look like pizza cutters, too narrow.
